Continued holes,

i forgot who i thought this book is towards to. i think that holes is toward to anyone that enjoys a book that you acually need to think in. this book causes you to read and actually follow it.
Holes is about a boy, Stanley Yelnats, who ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time, is sent to Camp Green Lake for a crime that he did not do. At Camp Green Lake Stanley and the other boys there that have commited crimes, have to dig holes because it is supposed to build character. but Stanley realizes that the Warden is searching for something. Stanley continues to become friends with the kids at the camp. but during the story, the author Louis Sachar, combinds the main story with a story that explains why Stanly and his family have bad luck from a curse placed on them and what the Warden is searching for. as the story goes on, stanley finds a lipstick tube with the initals KB on it. he lets X-Ray take it and turn it in so he stays on his good side. but Stanley is getting to know Zero, or Hector Zeronie. Hector is actually the great-great-great grandson of Madame Zeroni who placed the curse on the Yelnatses in the first place, but nobody knows this. Zero gets fed up with the camp and runs away. Stanley goes after him and the find this big mountain. Zero passes out, so Stanley carried Zero up it to the water that was on top. doing this, it broke the curse. they both got water and returned back to camp. the fidured out where the chest, what the warden was looking for, and returned back to camp to get it. they were in the hole and pulled out the chest and a bunch of yellow Spotted lizards popped out too. they get out and Stanley gets to keep the chest. everybody goes home, Hector is reunited with his mom and the Yelnats curse is lifted from them.

this book had its ups and downs. a up side is that the dialog was very good. another one is that the story was very clear on the character description. but the major down was that i got confussed sometimes when it kept switching back and forth to the different stories that were involved.

Alfred Kropp: The Seal of Solomon

Alfred Kropp was clueless about the Seal of Solomon, until he was kidnapped and dragged into the desert. He went face to face with the ancient ring's power. For thousands and thousands of years, the angels of heaven were locked up in a very sacred vessel, but only the ring and set them loose. If these angels are set loose, all hell could break loose... literally. As Alfred sets out to rescue the stolen ring, he ends up in a very fast car, a near death skydive, and another mission to save the world.

Their were many good things about this book. One of the things that i enjoyed about the book was how I was always interested in it. At the end of paragraphs, you would be asking yourself different questions. These questions would always make you want to keep reading the book. Another good thing about this book is the colorfulness of this book. the descriptions and the adjectives were very well written. Those are a few things that worked well in this book.

There will a few things though that i did not like about this book. The first thing is that the beginning was not the interesting. The only reason I kept reading was because I read the first book and I enjoyed it. So I knew I would enjoy this one. Another bad thing about this book is that the chapters were long. Even thought the book was interesting, the chapter length sometimes killed it. Those were some bad things about my book.

In my opinion, I think that teenaged boys would enjoy this book. I think this because it has a lot of action. Girls I do not believe would be very interested into the book.

Sucker

I don’t blame Sucker for turning against Pete because Pete was the one who started the argument between them. Pete freaked out at Sucker so it is not Sucker's fault. Pete was an great big brother to Sucker so He didn't respect him as much as he did before. It wasn't sucker's fault for fighting back against Pete.
In the story, Pete starts yelling at Scuker and Pete really mean it because he was stuttering and talking slowly when he speaks, so that proves that he didn’t really think about it. Sucker had the right to turn on Pete because Pete was really mean to him after being really nice to him. After Maybelle stopped talking to Pete, he became so angry, he took all of his anger out on Sucker. I don't blame Sucker for turning against Pete.
